लिए सरकार पहले से ही 1650 करोड रुपए का बजट आम बजट कर चुकी है। PM Ujjwala Yojna के उद्देश्य हमारे देश में कई सारे इलाके आज भी ऐसे हैं जहां पर लकड़ी, गोबर के उपले, कोयला, केरोसिन जैसे ईंधन के चूल्हे का उपयोग किया जाता है यह ईंधन महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य के लिए काफी हानिकारक साबित होते हैं। वहीं साथ ही साथ इस प्रकार के चूल्हे प्रदूषण को भी बढ़ाते हैं। ऐसे में रसोई घर में इस प्रकार के चूल्हे पर खाना बनाते वक्त महिलाओं को काफी सारी परेशानी में झेलनी पड़ती है और इन चूल्हों के इस्तेमाल से महिलाओं को सांस की बीमारियां आंखों की जलन और गंभीर स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं का सामना भी करना पड़ता है।  इसके साथ ही इन चीजों की वजह से प्रदूषण भी काफी ज्यादा बढ़ता है इसी बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए केंद्र सरकार ने PM Ujjwala Yojana की शुरुआत की है जहां LPG गैस कनेक्शन निशुल्क रूप से उपलब्ध करवाया जाने लगा साथ ही साथ महिलाओं को सब्सिडाइज दरों पर एलपीजी गैस सिलेंडर भी दिया जाने लगा। PM Ujjwala Yojana की रूपरेखा  PM Ujjwala Yojana उज्जवला गैस योजना के अंतर्गत ग्रामीण और शहरी दोनों ही क्षेत्र में इस योजना को समान रूप से
